She may not be a regular on these pages, but she does shift a lot of wax. With her forth album Honeymoon on the way in September, Del Rey has said "Terrence Loves You" is her favorite song on the album. Following ¡°High by the Beach,¡± the new single is more of an all-consuming ballad as Del Rey's vocals are immediately front and center backed by only a piano and sporadic trails of saxophone. She sounds like a brilliant songstress of a bygone era, though the intimacy of her vocals frees the listener of references to a specific time period. The song contain a reference to David Bowie's "Space Oddity" with the lyrics "Ground control to Major Tom."
